Phonics Tutor For Kids

Bright Horizons Learning, LLC's online Phonics Programs teaches students letter recognition as well as sound association to develop fundamental phonics skills.  In beginning lessons, students are introduced to consonant letter sounds that are easy to pronounce and less often confused with similar letter sounds.  To connect their new language skills to pencil and paper, Kindergarten students will soon learn how to spell their first and last names, form lowercase and uppercase letters and create words as they improve their listening and writing abilities.

Our Online Phonics Tutoring Program for kids helps to teach students how to read and write.  Phonics helps children to identify different sounds that discern one word from another word.  Children then use these phonics words to know which letters to use when writing words and can improve their writing skills.

Our phonics instruction tutors introduce students to the joy and pleasure of reading. They will be able to decode words with little effort and have the ability to focus their attention on comprehending what they read with fluency as the key factor to becoming a good reader. Fluency is attained when a student can read a text with sufficient accuracy to enable comprehension. Throughout our Phonics lessons, students will have the opportunity to practice their fluency skills with short stories for at-home reading. Students will also continue to utilize and gain independency using sight words throughout their lessons. Sight words are critical to help children build their reading fluency skills and help them read in phrases, rather than one-word at a time. Our Bright Horizons Learning program sets the stage for a strong vocabulary and facilitates the development of superior comprehension skills.

When your child signs online for their Phonics lesson, our tutors at Bright Horizons Learning, LLC, will greet them on a personal level, sketch the goals of the lesson, and then do what they do best: teach. Based on your child’s last session and their overall understanding/performance, a new lesson is specifically-designed to take their skills further and help them catch up, get ahead and become more confident in their phonics.

Our Phonics tutors then spend the rest of the session engaging in example questions/problems with your child, allowing your child to then work independently to show that they have retained the important material and then talk through those matters in which your child might need more instruction and support, with the ultimate end-goal of subject-matter mastery and becoming an independent learner.
